Large Group Consults – Specialty Topics

Sarah offers large group case consultations that do not count towards credit hours in the SE™ or EQUUSOMA® training programs, on specialty topics that provide a deep dive into specific areas of somatic practice.

The minimum number of registrants for these large groups is 10 and the maximum number is 75. Large group consultations are booked in time slots of 3 hours and 15 minutes, to allow for a break partway along. These group consultations may be recorded for the sake of documentation, but the recordings will not be distributed in order to protect confidentiality. See the Terms and Conditions for details.

Eligibility: This large group case consultation is geared towards professionals with a particular shared knowledge base: Somatic Experiencing® Practitioners, EQUUSOMA® Practitioners, and EQUUSOMA® team members. Somatic Experiencing® students (who have completed at minimum the beginning level) and EQUUSOMA® students (who have completed at minimum level 1) are also welcome to register.

Please note: Not everyone attending the large group consultation will have a chance to present a case or ask questions during the 3 hours. If you know in advance that you would like to present a case, please email us ahead of time ([email protected]). We will do our best to accommodate requests, but make no guarantees as to how many attendees will have a chance to go during any given large group consultation.

Registering for a large group consultation:

1. Click on the Add to Cart button next to the Large Group Case Consultation you would like to attend from the list above. When a specific date is full, the button will be removed or deactivated.
2. Payment is required in advance to reserve your spot.
3. Registration for each large group consultation closes 5 days before the date of the consult.
4. Please review the instructions to submit your questions and/or case in advance (at least 5 days before the date of the large group consultation).
5. You will receive an automated email at the time of registration with the Zoom registration link (group consultations are not held via Owl Video) and additional instructions. Please check your spam or trash for this email if it is not in your inbox. This email will be sent to the address associated with the PayPal account you used to pay the consultation fee.
6. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have received the large group consultation information and to contact [email protected] at least 5 days before the day of the consult if you have not received the information. We are unable to assist you with tech-related issues at the last moment.

Rates: The rate to attend the large group consultations is $90 CAD, plus tax for Canadian residents (approx. $65 USD, pending fluctuations in the currency exchange rate). Due to the reduced rate offered for large group case consultations (approx. $30 CAD/hr, or $22 USD/hr), no sliding scale rate applies.

Participant Cancellations:

• Due to the complexity of coordinating group events, there are no refunds and transferring of your registration fee to another offering is not possible. To preserve confidentiality, any recording that might be made will not be distributed even if someone misses a large group case consultation due to extenuating circumstances.
• You are welcome to transfer your spot to someone else who meets the eligibility for the group consultation. It will be your responsibility to coordinate the transfer and to collect reimbursement from your replacement. If you are transferring your spot, please email Jennifer at [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance to inform us about who you are transferring the spot to and their contact information, so that they can be sent an email with the consultation information and Zoom link with enough advance notice.

Other Cancellations: If the date of the large group consultation needs to be changed due to changes in Sarah’s schedule, extenuating circumstances, or other variables beyond our control (such as a power/internet outage or an unforeseen emergency), we will reschedule the consultation to a different date and transfer your registration automatically. If the new date does not work with your schedule, please email [email protected] at least 5 days before the new date to either transfer your payment to a different large group consultation offered by Sarah or receive a refund. We are unable to process requests that occur past that timeframe.
